feeling nervous

I was feeling really good after my colectomy.  So much better because I was very anemic and had a small bowel obstruction before surgery.  For the last 24 hours or so, I am feeling exhausted again and have mild stomach pain.  Just imagining the worst.

I don't think it is anything

I don't think it is anything to worry about. However it is so hard not to worry about every little thing or change in your body once you have been diagnosed with cancer.

    Hi Nedbound

Jeff is right , once you are in the fight every ache and pain is a major problem and to be honest it is till it goes away or is explained. It is good policy to ask your docs about anything that bothers you. I remember worrying about right flank pain for a long time after my cancer was removed. I kept bugging my docs because I knew that liver mets were always a chance after crc.  About four years after cancer I developed acute pancreatitis and had my gallbladder removed. Even after that I still had the pain in my right flank and it was only last year in response to elevated liver functions that my nephrologist hit me with a short dose of drugs used to treat auto-immune hepatitis. My liver enzymes returned to normal. He now believes that the right flank pain has for years been the result of moderate auto-immune hepatitis. I have serious nephrotic syndrome of the kidneys from an unknown auto-immune disease. All the best for your treatment. Try not to worry too much until you have been told there is a problem but always remain vigilant, Hugs Ron.
