Hi everyone

I am so sorry that I have not been on here to help encourage anyone lately, but my life has been like a roller coaster.  My husband had a heart attack mid may this was his 3rd one and they got to it before it caused damage to heart.  Placed 2 more stents which make him 9 now.  Mid July he was outside and I walked out and he told me he had a spot in his eye that would not leave.  THinking it was the bright sun Ihad him come in house.  It continued even taking the the top third of eye and he said it was just gray area.  I took him to local ER and ct scan of head and neck and his left carotid artery was 95 percent bloc ked!!!!  so they took hom to larger hospital and he did have a stroke that hit his right eye.  We stayed 9 days at hosp 5 days in ICU after the surgery.  He is doing good right now.  Will have to have the other one done when it get a little more blockage.  So I am still on Coumadin,  began with 6 months on it and my primary care changed it to 9 months last week and this is interfering with my cancer screenings.  My colonoscopy is due and EGD , breast mamm is due and she said this is your call.  You can go off the me for 7 days total and have this stuff done but my risk of another blood clot is high.  So i just cant take that chance.  I know kidneys are ok as of scan in april.   Colonoscopy show cell changes last year to the most aggressive cancer should the polyp go there.  My EGD show cell changes from the year before.  So  i am quite antsy waiting  for Jan 2016.  Just pray for us both that things will settle down  and go a little better.  I will pray for you all.

So sorry to hear about all

So sorry to hear about all your husband went through (and you along with him) but glad he's doing better now. I'm not sure what you meant by this: "Colonoscopy show cell changes last year to the most aggressive cancer should the polyp go there." Do you have a polyp? Why wasn't it removed during the colonoscopy?

In any case, wishing you and your husband the very best and hope all your tests come back negative.

    Jeez Louise,

Brae, what do you do with your free time? When we were teenagers, who ever thought so many things could happen to us (I mean you guys). I guess I could say, "You know the drill." Just hang on tight and move forward. Good things to come

I had Colon cancer two years ago and the polyps that were cancer was removed. Last year year check up I had grown 4 new polyps that went from adenomas to serrated adenomas that had no cancer in them. Gi doc said it was bad that the cells changed to serrated adenomas which is more aggressI've type of cancer. So I have to b checked every year as my chance of this cancer returning is very high like 87 percent chance.  That's why doc so concerned  my husband did lose his central vision from the stroke. But he can't tell the diff he says. Nothing they can do for it but thank God it could have been worse.  Remember us in your prayers

thanks so much for your concern and encouraging words they mean a lot. Yes we will get through these things just a lot hit at one time. My hubby is just not a well person for past few months and he continues to fight hard to get better. Hopefully now he will feel better. He surely gave me a scare this time.  He is still weak but that's a big surgery and a very dangerous surgery to ean carotid artrry out.  But all in all we are hanging in there and trusting God to lead us.  Thanks for always being here for me and others

    I understand now. It's bad

I understand now. It's bad that the cells changed but it's good there was no cancer in them. I assume those 4 cerrated adenomas waere removed and now you're being monitored for new ones, I imagine. I will keep you and your husband in my thoughts and prayers.

I may not have been real clear on what i was saying the first time lol  Yes he removed the 4 and they were serrated adenomas.  I was to be scoped in July but the blood thinner is keeping me from having scope done, which is making me a little nervous .  Will be January now before off blood thinner. So im just a praying that all is well and I can get this done in Jan.  I see my oncologist in Oct and she might have me to stop the blood thinner for 5 days and take a chance and have it done.  DOnt know just wait and see.  Hope you are doing ok.  Praying for you.
