lg. cell, Sm. cell gastrointestinal nueroendocrine carcinoma

My questions is, I have been in remission for 13 months today from gallbladder cancer and large cell and small cell gastrointestinal nueoendocrine carcinoma! I went to my family doctor yesterday and found out I have a UTI. The doctor told me there was bilirubin found in my urine. The doctor I seen said she did not know if this was normal. My urine is a very dark orange color. I am also having very bad itching all over my body and have read that bilirubin can cause this. I have had jaundice before but am currently not seeing yellowing of my skin or eyes.  I do have a biliary stent. Is this normal to have bilirubin in the urine? I have called my oncologist but have still not heard back (I just called her this afternoon but I am growing impatient. I want answeres). I am trying not to be to nervous about this but reasearch I have done has indicated that this is not normal but I also know that the internet is not always a very reliable source. Thank you.

    gastrointestinal neuroendocrine cancer

    Hi,

I don't have any answer to your question about bilirubin etc,. but my brother-in-law was recently diagnosed with gastrointestinal neuroendocrine cancer which has already spread to a few organs. The autopsy has shown mostly poorly-differentiated neuroendocrine cells, so doctors aren't sure what is the origin. He's being treated with cisplatin + vp16 chemotherapy.

Do you have any information based on your experience? How early were you diagnosed? How were you treated?

I'd be glad of any information. Thank you and lots of health and wellbeing to you!
