Greetins to all, and God's Blessings.

 

My name is Steve, I am married, have 5 children ranging in age from 3 to 30.  I was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer on 27 Feb 2015 in South Korea.  I had a 9 CM and also a

4CM tumour in my liver.  Basically most the left side of the liver was involved.  Since then my 9CM is down to under 5 and the 4cm cant be seen, Praise the Lord.  We have moved to California to be closer to my family, though honestly I liked the care better in South Korea.  More of an administrative difference than a care difference i would guess.  The system in Korea was very organized and trouble free, aside from the language barrier and in my case having to pay before care.  But God provided and it was fine.  I have been referred for surgery and am hopeful I will be approved.  

I have a fantastic loving supportive wife, and I couldn't do it without her, she is awesome.

Two things I augmented my regimine with that I did not tell the Doc, Arctigenin over the first 3 rounds of Chemo and Hemo Him to keep my RBC count up.  Seems to work. But your mileage may differ.  

I continued to work my job in Korea over the first 3 Chemos, but since I have moved to the states since my job is now in Arizona I have been on sick leave while getting care at UCSD.

Welcome to the group. It's great news the tumors are shrinking! Is the remaining tumor operable? I would push for surgical removal as soon as you can, while it sits in there it's a source of spread and new tumors forming elsewhere. I would tell your doctor about the supplements, why not? The more information the doctor has the better. Congratulations on your strong faith and loving wife, with those two you can't lose, right? Good luck and keep us posted.

I hate

when we get new members here.  For obvious reasons.  I will tell you, from a caretakers stand point at least.  You couldn't be in a better and more supportive place.  People on here are awesome. 

I was stationed in Korea for a year, loved it.  I wish you the best on this journey and being cancer free.
