    Gold Finches

I live in central WI and we have been having a cold spring, but I have put out my finch feeder as I see the Gold Finches have come back to the area. We also have a flock of Robins that "hang out" in the field behind the small wooded area behind our house!

Delighting the Heart and Soul **

I live in NE Florida and the Azaleas were and are so beautiful this year.........and there is a lovely pot of red geraniums by my front door that delights my heart each time I look at them.

    I am anticipating my camping

I am anticipating my camping trips. WE camp min. or 3 times a year- We had camp fire at home and roasted hots dogs...just the smell of wood smoke made me happy!

I know many dont' like camping but to me it's heaven (I also go do Disney yearly in Deluxe hotels, so I like both types of vacations) lol

    Sunshine and warm temps

Sunshine that's warm enough so I can get out in it and quit using my light box for 'sunshine'.  Mowing grass.

(GlowMore - I haven't seen azaleas blooming since 1991 - ones that are actually growing in the ground that is.  Nurseries here sell small 'hot house' ones that are blooming beautifully but though I've tried to keep them over winter - doesn't work.  I can keep most of my bougainvilleas over winter inside.)

    More Flowers**

Azaleas are pretty ...but my bouganvilla wasn't happy where I tried it....then put in a big pot and it is doing lots better....they don't like a lot of water and we get a lot of rain here so I'm not sure it will live...but with the big thorns it has I'm not sure I want it to anyway... have planted lots of Gardenias way out back across by the fence and they are all starting to blossom..... One flower you will not see here is the rhododendruns ....we had those up in Bellevue, Washington and they were so gorgeous.   Here we are also seeing lots of Day Lillies now of many colors....   Springtime is fast becoming Summer here in Florida however....high 90s yesterday.

Lots of rain in Alabama, but

Lots of rain in Alabama, but in between I love the vibrant, clear, blue sky.  We need all that rain to keep the pollen in check.  Don't know about other parts of the country, but we get a thick coating of yellow pollen dust that covers everything.  I especially love watching our, strictly indoor, cats running from one window to the other "chasing" birds and squirrels they see outside.

We are having lots of Geese flying over us here the past few weeks.........Canadian Geese.....and some have stopped and had their babies and we have some walking around between the lakes with the little ones....so neat to see them ...and hearing them in the sky honking is lovely.
