Thank you , I always appreciate positive thoughts and prayers

Dear Vicki, Victoria, Carol, Clementine and all other dear friends

I did not want to make you worry.

I am on my third cycle of Pfizer's Ibrance (palbociclib). i started this drug as compassionate use before it was approved by FDA in January. I am having several side effects including very low WBC, RBC, hemoglobin now 8.7 low platelets. We have been adjusting my dose lowering it. I feel very tired, very little energy. I also got DVT ,

Blood clot in my right calf and taking a blood thinner such as Apixiban (Eliquis) similar to heparin in function.

still working and walking 2 miles a day.

    love you

    Olga

    Amazing!

Olga, you are an inspiration.  Through all of this you continue to work and walk.  Wow!  Thank you for posting and letting us know how you are doing.  I hope that the side effects of this drug settle down for you and that it is working against the cancer.

    Very best,

    Clementine

I don't know how you do it... All that you're dealing with, going through; yet, still working AND walking. Amazing!

Sending hopeful best wishes your way, dear Olga.

I visited my oncologist today. Tumor marker are up again , CA 27 -29 is 366! my oncologist is still optimistic "we will figure it out and find a right treatment for you".

This year we planted tomatoes in earky March and they are blloming ( I know we are very lucky in California), looking forward to harvest in May.

Are you SoCal girls up to another re-union?

    When are you thinking?
Olga, how long was the Aromason effective? Keep thinking being stable = feeling better. That lasted a few weeks.... have a blood draw next week.
It will be 84 tomorrow, about 80 today. Warmest winter in the 22 years here in Utah. It was wonderful but sure needed the snow pak, the drought here will effect everything, especially fishing!
    Keep us posted!

Olga - You are our 'Engerizer Bunny' -

I can not imagine the frustration of trying to locate the right chemo drug (s) to help your Fight against the ugly beast.  Working, and walking daily -  YOU ARE a HERO, and true INSPIRATION to all.

Southern Californian get together sounds FABULOUS -- maybe we can head up towards Olga's neck of the woods? or Long Beach ?

    thank you pink sisters.

we decided to have PET early, was done on 3/31. Results are very disapointing  more progression in bones and liver. Unfortunately need Change treatment. Will have liver biopcy next week, port  or something else and start Chemo. I was hopeful for the new drug, seems it is not working for me. Halvan probably will be the Chemo choice.

I guess getting more into the woods

still hope to reuninize when Traci recovers and Carol visits her brother

    oh, dear

Those are, indeed, very disappointing results. Hopefully, a new chemo will do what it needs to do:  get you free and clear and stable.

Sending you energy for your fight.
