Dark spots on skin

I have developed all over darkened skin in that area, it looks like I'm wearing a pair of boy shorts!  I also came out with many more mole-like dark flat spots on my stomach and back, so certainly no more bikinis for me (ha ha, I'm 65, that is so not going to happen).  I am a little upset about all these changes, but think that it is a small price to pay to get rid of my anal tumour.  The radiologist did tell me that the dark skin would fade over time, so hopefully your freckles will too, if not, there are always those cute, skirted, swimsuits, or just wear a pair of flimsy athletic shorts over your swimsuit -- and revel in the fact that the radiation is over, and hopefully, so is your cancer nightmare!

Good point, Cazz, about reveling in the fact that the radiation will be over! I don't have a bikini body anyway, but usually wear a high cut leg one piece--not if these things don't go away! Maybe bleaching creme later on?

I'm not on Xeloda. I'm assuming this is from the radiation therapy.

The insides of my thighs were quite dark after I finished treatment and my burns healed.  However, I'm happy to say my skin lightened up in those areas, except for two spots, one on each leg, that is about an inch or so in diameter.  I never asked my rad onc, but I thought perhaps these spots were where they nuked my lymph nodes (I had no cancer in my lymph nodes, but as we all know, they nuke everything at the beginning of treatment).  It's just a little darker than the surrounding area and looks more like a light birthmark than anything else.  I have continued to wear swimsuits since treatment and I am not really bothered by the discoloration.
