what do you guys take to wake up at all? Coffee-tea or something-thats ok with this meds that we take. They told me no green tea or this other tea I had bought-had rubbarb root in it says not to take because of the kidneys. Any answers will help!

    Hi, Jackie

    Hi, Jackie,

If I remember correctly, you are still receiving chemotherapy.  Please correct me if I am wrong.  I drank coffee in the mornings while going through chemo and that seemed to help wake me up.  I also slept anywhere from 9 to 11 hours when I needed to.  My worse side effect from the chemo was severe lower back pain which was debilitating for me.  I could not stand or walk for more than 5 minutes before I had to sit down and raise my legs on a stool.  It was so terrible that I ended up getting two epidural shots to help relieve my suffering.  Other than that and some nausea in the mornings,I actually did well going through the chemo.  I missed only one day of work (aside from the days I missed receiving the chemo) and that was following my last chemo treatment.  I was just too tired to go to work that day.

    Wishing you the best,

    Cathy

    wakeup call

I drink half caff.  Giving up coffee was too hard, and they say not to drink green tea while you are going through chemo. - Good luck! - Helen
