    Gravel

I didn't have a cough as such, but my throat was like gravel. I kept having to clear it, like you do when you've got a frog in your throat.

I had issues with my throat throughout Oxi. It also felt as though there was a lump at the back of my thoat. The food would feel like it was getting stuck, but it wasn't really. Very odd indeed.

I didn't find anything that helped my throat, but then I didn't try too much stuff either. I didn't like to swallow, so I just ate very little and drank lots.

Good luck in finding something that can help your mum. Others here may be able to help.

Is it a chest cough or throat

Is it a chest cough or throat tickle?  With a throat tickle press your thumb or fingertips on the tickle and hold until the feeling passes.  My mom was a singer and just recently told me this trick, said the tickle is just a nerve ending lighting up and pressing on it makes the nerve subside.  Actually works and useful in meetings too.  Good luck to your mom.

    Thank you and also Trubrit

Thank you and also Trubrit for the answers, it seems it's more throat and larynx, now more people in the forum can answer the questions what can help, what to do

    Welcome to the board!

We tried just about everything to try to stop the cough, but it persisted all through treatment.  Rick drank a lot of warm tea with honey which seemed to help the weird throat feeling that you get.  Wish I could be of more help, but a cough seems to be one of those side effects that many folks experience.
