Nutribullet 900 tube users that blend

OK Im nearly sold on the Nutribullet blender. I've seen one, the Nutribullet 900, It says it blends smoother and has extras.  just how smooth does this machine blend, how long does it last using it continuously. The recipes look nutritious. They say to add nuts and seeds do these completely blend or is there pulp. I can see the benefits of real foods rather than some chemically made formula. I looked at the vitamix but at nearly £500 it was out of my league. I've been hesitating for a long while to go real foods incase I buy the machine and loads of fruit nuts and veg and I still get the same problems with my stomach. How do you estimate the calories. This post is for the tube users who blend.

    Nutribullet

I don't use it to blend food for a tube - I think mine was gone by then - but I have used it for cooking.  Pulverizes EVERYSTHING.  I put bananas in there for banana bread - in less than 3 seconds, I had banana juice.

If you mix with liquid, you'll get just what you need for the tube

    Gotta try

Cost is always a concern but when it means being able to restore eating to any degree of normal the cost of a Nutribullet is just a consumable cost. If it works great. use it as long as it lasts then get a durable blender like a Vitamix or similar. gOOD LUCK.

This is the one I use, mine

This is the one I use, mine is green? Same thing. I love it. I have made maybe 250-350 smoothies and I am starting to get a leak in the blades. No big deal, when I get around to it, I will replace the seal. I blend whole banana's skin and all. I never really read the directions but someone who did said you weren't supposed to blend over two minutes. This think liquifies vegetables fruit etc. I don't think I was suppose to put ice in it, that was scary.

When I was liquid only, I blended almond milk [vanilla flavored] with yams. Love them, consistency at your desired level. I use aloe vera juice now for my smoothie base, it's about 8 dollars per gallon from wallmart.

It works great for me, hope it works as well for you. It is good to be able to be a part of your own nutritional program in my mind versus the commercial preps. It is a lot of work though. I went the organic route as much as possible. Safeway here now has a lot more organic products in the frozen isle, they blend well into everything else. Lots of variety can be had this way and taste good as well, if possible. Good luck, this is what I got;http://www.target.com/p/nutribullet-by-magic-bullet/-/A-14588965

    Hi.  I blended everything

Hi.  I blended everything imaginable.  I used a vitamix.  I've heard they give a discount to cancer patients.  It might be worth calling them and asking.

Good luck to you.  They also sell them at costco.  I wonder if you could find a used one on Craigslist.

    be careful about peels

It used to be bannanas were better preserved or made to turn color using some chemical process. Not sure if it leaves residual toxic material but not eating the peel seems a prudent thing to do.

    vitamix options

To all considering purchasing a vitamix please order through the link at OCF. They receive money back from sales that go to support the organization. You can also purchase the refurbished units through that link and they still get the credit. Support OCF!

    Nutribullet

It will last for a few months if you use it the way I do, everyday. What goes out is the seal and bearings on the blade, but you can order a new blade on line, I have 3 of them that I rotate. I also have a Montel Health Master and I would suggest that no one buy them because for the price they will not last any longer then the Nutribullet. I am looking into the Vidmix but right now they are just a little too high for me. Maybe will try the OCF and see if they have a better price.

Just my take from someone who eats everyday from a blender, hope you get something that help and find a good one.

the cost of the Nutribullet pro 200 isn't expensive it's about £150 but The vitamix is just under £500 I couldn't afford that. My kids said they would buy the Nutribullet. The pro 200 has a bigger blending cup and some other cups and a spare blade. It blends even smoother. I asked my dietician about it but she doesn't think it a good idea as I may not get enough calories and it could be unhygienic . I think this is rubbish because if you eat by mouth you run a risk if you don't clean things properly and use fresh washed product so I don't see it a more risk through the tube so long as you flush it and keep it clean. I'm getting to detest the sight of formulas. If I was definitely sure it was the formulas and not something wrong with my stomach I'd go ahead and 'go real food'. I've been told now they think I have dumping syndrome and may need the tube bypassing the stomach and going straight into the gut. They keep coming up with ideas but so far haven't gone any further with it. I get a delivery of a new formula tomorrow and a calorie powder to add to my water. I'm inundated By formulas now my shed has 5 crates of ensures I probably won't use. I see the gastro specialist on Monday hope someone comes up with a valid solution.
