Ok! Dr War has come up with a cunning plan!!

It's been a long day but productive I think. The good news is the tumours are still stable, Yay!!, so that is a total of six months so far, that's nothing to be sniffed at! I am delighted!!! With regards to the wayward lymph, these are the crux of my problems, cough, voice and sickness, busy little blighters.

The plan is to increase the Votrient to 800 mgs, which is a stretch for my liver, and daily steroid injections. I think I'll proffer the other cheek to Nurse Pick for that one, lol!. Dr War thinks this will reduce the lymph enough to alleviate the problem. So that's the current battle plan, sounds good to me as long as the old liver plays ball. Anyway! I'm feeling positive, in a few weeks time I fully intend to be sitting down with my family EATING my Christmas Dinner, no worries!!

    Fitting Name!

Thanks Jan! My Oncologist is Dr La Guerre which translates to English as Dr War, isn't that a great name, so fitting in the war against cancer:)

    Stable

DJ, I am going with "STABLE " and will envision you at the table feasting at the holiday table.

I generally dislike steroids but I do know they can be very effective in reducing inflammation and swelling so let's start our farewell to the swollen nodes.

Will keep sending good thoughts to your liver as you take the votrient.

    Thanks for the positive support!

Thank you Sarah I appreciate it, I agree with you about the steroids but it feels like a feasable plan. It won't be a fond farewell I can tell you:)

Thanks for the kind words Foroughsh:)

    Many Thanks!

tyjsbtn thank you so much for thinking and praying for me, I am very touched by that. I can't think of anything worse than liquidising my festive meal, it would be sacrilege. Besides I am chief cook and bottle washer that day, so there is no way I am going to all that effort to have mine reduced to goup;)

    So Happy

I just knew Dr. War will have something good up her sleeve. I’m so happy that everything is stable and keeping fingers and toes crossed that the Votrient and steroids will do their job, your liver will cooperate, and that you will be eating your Christmas dinner Smile

Thank you Rea and myoung I appreciate it. Rea I have emailed you!

Apny it's always good to have a viable plan isn't it. Dr. War is a great Oncologist, she discusses everything down to the minor details, which suits me I hate being left in the dark, and I like to be thorough. I am also allowed to have some input and make suggestions, working as a team is so very important. I just have to do my part now.

    Better sounds good to me!

Thanks Foxie, I will do my utmost. When it comes to the flipping cough, I don't see us parting with any great sorrow, but just in case I will keep that in mind, lol!

Fox, you crack me up! In all

Fox, you crack me up! In all that pain and still funny as heck! LOL  Wish you were feeling better.  Did you ever get my PM about a month ago? I think the sight is not working well in that regard.

DJ, i forget, but didn't you have liver issues on the Votrient or am i mistaken?  If you did  though, i remember that the 800 dose would be too much to take.  Because if the liver numbers go up again then it is possible you won't be able to take the Votrient.  Just keep that in mind.  I remember what happened to TW and the articles he read and shared about that.  But i am glad to hear stable! YIPPEE!  Go DJ! Have a great week!
