Confused

I went to see my gynecologist on Monday. She did a pelvic exam told me my uterus was tilted to the left and I would probably need a hysterectomy. Then she ordered blood work and a ultrasound the same day. I went back on Wednesday she said that I have two mass in my uterus. Then she said their was one on my right ovary and she did not like the look of it. She also said that they could not see my left ovary? And something about fluid being in my uterus or honestly something at the bottom of my uterus.  She wanted to do a biopsy that day but I wanted to wait for my husband so we scheduled it for Friday. Now after the biopsy she said my Ca-125 was 11.9 and she did not think I had anything to worry about it and it was probably hormonal? ? I am 44 I have had four boys. And my last menstrual cycle was in July of this year. I have horrible back pain and bloating and discharge also having bowel problems. I am not sure if I am worrying or if this is nothing.

    Confused

Wow, I'd be confused too. I think your best bet would be to get a second opinion. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

    Try not to worry.

Just a simple word of advice--don't worry yet. Easy to say but hard to do, I know. If your CA125 number is normal, that's a good sign. There are many other things that could cause your symptoms. I know because I've had some of them, all of which turned out to be relatively benign. Good luck!

    A consideration.

Ask for the CEA to be done.  My appendix cancer was found on my ovary; CA125 was normal because it wasn't ovarian cancer.  I went for my hysterectomy reassured that it wasn't cancer, and they found the appendix tumors.  Unfortunately, you are describing what could be appendix cancer/PMP.  Please ask your dr to consider it in further testing.

    I'D BE CONFUSED, TOO

You don't have a lot of info yet, Gina.  But it's not time to panic.  I had endometriosis for years, and it is very similar to the symptoms of OVCA.  See what the biopsy shows, and then I would get a second opinion with a gynecologic oncologist.  Any chance you are in Michigan?  I have a wonderful oncologist and would be happy to recommend him.

    Be Blessed!
