How do I get my picture to post?

I was going to ask the support team on their board but after reading it, it doesn't sound like they want questions like this.  I have tried to post my picture like some of you ladies, but mine didn't work.  So, would someone please post me some instructions so my picture will start appearing?

Also, does anyone on this board use the chatroom?  Does it help?

Thanks for your help.   I'm not computer illiterate but am no computer genius either.  :)

    Uploading a picture to your profile

    Hi Jeanette,

     

    We're happy to help you set up your picture. Please go to your "About Me" page. There at the top it will say your username. When you get on the page, select Edit, and scroll down until you get to the picture section. Select "Choose File" from the Upload picture section and choose whichever picture that's on your computer that you'd like to use. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "submit." This should work and you will have your picture displayed immediately. Please let us know if this works for you.

    I still had difficulty until I realized that my photo was too big.  So, after I cropped the picture, it worked.   Thank you very much for your help.  I really appreciate it.
