Well ladies and gentleman, I'm getting ready to go in for #10 of 12 folfox treatments. It would seem that I'd be used to it but I feel like a lamb to slaughter. Going back for more poison is tough.  In any case, I will go and then there will be only two left. Thank God for family and friends.

    Be strong!

My blood counts were getting pretty wracked at this point and I remember the doc cut back the oxaliplatian, in fact he took it out of my last treatment. You've impressively powered through so far, I know you can do it!

You should be able to start

You should be able to start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

    The Home Stretch

I am glad to hear you are towards the end of your treatments, what a blessed time that is.  I know that the side effects are probably getting worse and my did increase a bit after tx was over.  But I my last chemo for stage 3 B was June 23, 2009.  I have been cancer free ever since and I feel great, very little neuropathy left.  I hope you continue to heal and do well also.

Yolanda, the end is in sight.

Yolanda, the end is in sight. You can do it! Hope and prayers for minimal side effects. It is so hard to do something so toxic to be well.  Soon this will be behind you...

    I'm so proud of you

I'm so proud of you Yolanda! I remember feeling exactly that same way a very short time ago! But, you are on the tail end of a battle for your life ... One that is worth every grueling tx and I'm thrilled to see you are almost done!! Soon, you will be on the other side of this and encouraging others!

i do not post much, but read often. (I forget my password constantly so I just read) I have followed your posts and keep you close in thoughts always.  I wish you well on your recoup from this tx and onward with your next two!  I know how rough the last ones can be .. But stay positive, treat yourself to a "something" special for yourself, even if it is a nice chai tea ... (Nice and warm for the oxali)!

Yes, almost done. You can do

Yes, almost done. You can do it!  I remember my 11 and 12th, I think I finally gave in to exhaustion. Working an hour away and making up my time so I wouldn't use up all my FMLA. I learned something, I'm a strong person and so are you.
