MRI Friday

Hi All,

Well its that time again for me, my MRI for my head is scheduled for Friday, August 22.  It's funny but I still get scanixety over these tests.  I can't believe that November will be one year since my brain surgery and the removal of the tumor.  2013 was such a rough year for me, and so far this year things are going pretty well.

I have been having alot of pain on my left side and that is my good kidney, what am I talking about, it is my only kidney!  My CAT scans are not scheduled until November, this is my first 6 month wait, and it is freaking me out a bit.  I have been getting them every three months, but the Doctor thought it was ok to go to 6 months for neck to pelvic cat scans, but he also said "don't be afraid to change the appointment if I feel the need"!

The nice thing about the MRI is that I will get those results on Friday.  MRI is done at 9:15, and I see the Doctor at 11:00, so there is no wait for this one!  Thanks for being here and I will let you know my results as soon as possible!

                                                   Prayers for good health!

    Time is flying by Brenda!

I cannot believe that you are already close to your one-year mark! I will be thinking about you and waiting to hear your good results for the MRI!

I think you should change the appointment though....worth thinking about, anyway!

    Hugs

    You are right Jo!

I am going to change the CAT scan appointment while I am at the hospital on Friday!  It is still true, we (or at least me) freak with new aches and pains and can't help wonder what is happening on the inside.

Thanks for your support and hugs JoJo, they are always a comfort to me!

And, Fox everytime I see the ever ready battery commercial, I say that's Fox!  You are just amazing!! Thanks for your support, Fox it is always very much appreciated!

Ditto on the pain and worry

Brenda..  You had your brain surgery in November last year.... I had mine in December, to remove the tumor, and the Cyberknife in late January this year.   I just had my appointments Aug. 7th with the surgeon and the Radiologist... for the 2nd set of MRI images since the surgeries.  For a week before the appointment,  I was feeling "the same head pain" that brought me to the ER 9 months ago.  The reports were all good, nothing found.  and surprise, no more head pain.  Nerves can do a lot of phantom symptoms.  Of course, all "new aches or pains" get me going!

So I know my brain is good for the next 3 months, and in September I get the PET/CT for the rest of me.  Hoping the lung mets are behaving, and nothing new shows up.  I hate Sutent and the side effects, I want to be NED and med free.

My very best vibes for you on your results.

    Battle On.

    Good for another 3 months!

    Hi all,

It was a pretty good day on Friday, the MRI did show a very small spot on the cavity where the first tumor was removed, but the Doc said we are just going to keep an eye on it to make sure there are no changes in it.  Otherwise, I am really good and go back in Nov., for the MRI of the brain and the CT scan for the body.  You are so right Pam, no more pain anywhere after the results, just feeling really good! Scanxiety strikes again!

Thank you for all of your good thoughts and prayers!
