Pet Scan today and now the dreaded wait..ugggg

in Head and Neck Cancer #1

Hunny had his Pet Scan today following up end of treatment...the cat scan at the end of radiation still showed the mass present...they think it is dead tissue..praying they are right...please join me in the prayers!

    no need to wait

    If you wish, you can get a copy of the report as soon as it is complete. Sometimes you need to push a bit but you can get one from the imaging facility; you may need to go in person and sign a release doc. The impression statement is the key part and it will have a lot of medical terms but you can understand the basics. Good luck, Don

    and buckets of positive thoughts.  The wait is horrible, the relief that follows tho, will have you floating off the ground.  I know he'll be fine....

    PET Scan

    They waited 3 months after I completed radiation and the PET Scan showed up spotty but they knew it was from radiation. The wait between the scan and getting the results drove me nuts.

    Hoping all turns out well.

    headed there now for results...

    we will get results this morning..its only been 6 weeks so i am very scared it will show false positives as all of yall say!
