Scanxiety time again UPDATE

As I sit in the waiting room waiting to get my chest CT, I'm especially nervous this time as I had to stop my Taxotere about 8 weeks ago due to a bad pleural effusion that is still being drained every other day. My last scan in fen showed no visible cancer, and am praying and hoping for the same today. I see my doctor torrow to discuss how we will Move forward. Any spare prayers are greatly appreciated.

Met with my Onco today and did not get good news but could have been much worse. a cluster of tiny nodules showed in my right lower lobe. Dr is not yet ready to say its cancer as they are so small and do not look like cancer tumors. He wants my pulmonary doc to review the scans and go from there. He is also baffled by my ongoing vascular leak as I've been off chemo for 8 weeks and if chemo related, it should be improving. His next thought is Malignant Effusion from my cancer, but three times samples of lung fluid was sent to lab and no cancer cells present in the fluid. I'm going to start Cisplatin the week of the 25th and the two docs can figure out how to stop the pleural effusion.

    Mike, thanks for taking the time to pm me regarding excercise. I never prayed for a long time before joining this site. But good people like you have brought me back to it. Its a small thing to do. You got one on the way accross the Atlantic now mate. G.

    Was in same position last week with scanextity ..I likened it to PTSD...prayers and mucho mojo coming your way.
