The hospice nurse came yesterday as Jim got more and more restless and started twitching a lot. Jim's oncologist and nurse happened to be on call. Added Haldoron, not sure of spelling, which took until this morning around 11 am to help so I was up most of night. Finally fell asleep some where after 4 am untill 8:30 am. He is now sleeping better but becoming restless again. Breathing is  a little apneaed. When nurse came yesterday his vitals were good so she said he wouldn't go in the next day or so. But it was hard to tell. It is very hard to watch him be like this. Please pray his final walk is fast and peaceful. I know he is going to be with God and that gives me peace. I just am missing him already.

Debbie

    Praying for peace

for you & Jim...when Grandma was going through this, 5 months ago, the hospice nurse said to talk to her, she seemed more at ease when we did. I'd talk to Jim about the beautiful river he's going to fish in, without pain or sickness. So sorry for you Debbie, you've been an amazing caregiver and wife

    fishing to the end

Thank you all for your support and prayers. Jim dreams and has visions of fishing. He talks in his sleep about fishing. Twice he has sat up from sleep and dug in the covers trying to keep that big fish from getting away. While he is sleeping his hands are constantly tieing hooks on lines. I always said he eats, sleeps and thinks fishing 24/7. :) Guess I was right. At least he is happy.

    I'm thinking of you both

I've been kind of quiet on the board these past few months, but still checking in to see how everyone is doing. I wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you and Jim tonight. I'm praying for peace for you both.

    Hi Debbie

Keeping you both in prayer, I know this is a hard time for you to just stand there and watch Jim. But remember the angles are there with him as well watching over him. I had a talk with my wife for when the time comes for me, and told her she is to be happy because I will be in no more pain and no more suffering. You know my beliefs on death and I know that when Jim closes his eyes here in this life he will open them again to see his Lord coming for him. I will continue to keep you both in my prayers.

God watch over you both in this hour of need

I happened to drop by this

I happened to drop by this site early yesterday morning, then went off to Mass.  Said a prayer for both you and Jim.  I am not one for words for moments like this except to say God Bless you both.
