MRI of the Spine!

Hi Everyone,

I have been doing really well.  Had Brain MRI and everything was good.  No sign of left over cancer and nothing new going on in there, which I was very grateful about.  Mentioned some back pain to the Doc, and he was extremely concerned.  So I am scheduled for a full spine MRI on this Saturday, the 22 and getting results on the 31.  Every Scan or MRI always feels like the first one with anxiety running wild and wonderding what the results will be.  We all know that whatever will be, we deal with it.  Just hoping for a break, had 2 years of surgeries and I was just hoping and praying for at least 20 years of no cancer activity!!  Hoping and praying for the best!

Love and prayers of good health for us all!

Doesn't feel like sometimes they are just looking for trouble? I've a brain scan coming up and I feel that way. But it is what it is (hate that expression). We will do what we have to because we like being alive. Right? Besides scans can be negative also. Better safe than sorry. You'll be fine. Just as all our members who belong to the "Tough old Broads Club" are.

HI Brenda~

I can appreciate your anxiety. But if it were me, I always get the results by obtaining my own copy of any test results, hence the Radiologists written report. But thats me.

That way I can be prepared and ask pertinent questions or be relieved as well.

Sounds like waiting till the 31st is agonizing to you. Do you want to know ahead of time or not?

Either way, we'll be here to support you on this journey. WE understand!

Warmly, Jan

Went on the 22 of March for Spine scan to be told that I was only getting the lower spine MRI and that the Upper Spine still had to be scheduled.  I can not blame anyone but myself for not reading the paperwork! Upper spine scan was down on the 29 of March.  It turned out to be a great rainy day! Picked up my beautiful grand-daughter and took her with us (my husband and I) for the MRI, which was being done in Georgetown in DC.  Afterwards we went to a few museums and out to dinner.  So whatever the results,  that day is going to be forever etched in my mind as a great fun day!

Thanks for all your good karma, I am holding it for the results tha have been scheduled for Monday, April 7.

Prayers of good health for all of us!

Hey Brenda,

I am just catching up on your news! What a strange idea splitting it into two scans, I wouldn't have thought to check my paperwork for such an eventuality. You know we are all with you on this, will be sending the strongest vibes possible for Monday. I am sure you will do fine, you a strong trooper, and the love of such a wonderful family only serves to help you maintain that strength.

Take care:)

Brenda and Fox...you both have nothing in your brain!!  And it is April Fools' Day.

But aren't we glad for the small things that go correctly.  And Djinnie, hope things are going well or better.

Waiting games are the pits and we've all been there.

Good wishes to everyone.

Donna

I can't thank everyone enough for all the prayers, good karma, and vibes sent my way for those MRI's of my Spine.  Everything is all clear, the problem is a bulging disk and I will gladly take that  diagnosis! Also, brain surgeon has released me, so now I will just be getting scheduled for scan and mri that oncologist will be reading.  Next one will be in May and hoping for clear readings then also!

Prayers of good health to us all!

Hey Brenda, I've been waiting for your post, that is absolutely brilliant news! I agree a bulging disc definately diminishes in significance when compared to cancer. I am so pleased for you, what a well deserved outcome! here's to nothing but good news from here on in:)
