Changed to this selfy of Jim and I. All his teeth have crumbled to the gum. The whole ones are fakes. I have gained 20 lbs since his diagnosis. Jim said, "Hey we have turned into old people!" I guess it happens to all of us. LOL

So happy he still has a sense of humor.Cool

    Nice

Nice selfie!  The 'old' me understands the weight gain.  Wish my skinny husband/caregiver would have gained weight!

Great picture.  Both looking good.  Hey nothing wrong with being old, something we all get to do, if we are lucky.

    Old People

I put my glasses down yesterday and still could not find them this morning till my wife said why don’t look in your pockets, and sure enough there they were. I hate when that happens. Getting old, slow, and forgetful, but I can work circles around most of these young folks.

Thanks Debbie God blesses to you and Jim.

    Older not Old

No no no - you are older not old - here's the story - my wife and I were dating and we went on vacation with my parents - we stayed up every other night playing games until 2 in the morning - during one of the late night games my wife (then my steady) said something like " I hope to stay up late and do this when I am old too"  WWWWHHHHHOOOOAAAA - my folks laughed so hard and never let her forget that one - always in a good way - and this was almost 30 years ago !!!!  So you are NOT old - you are older - always reminds me of this story when I hear an "old" reference - okay hope that was a cheery note -

You look great - pictures like this are great - I love them - you've inspired me to get one with her today when my wife comes home - guess I better before she gets older :):):)

    Have a wonderful day

    Steve

ps - there are days when I feel sorry for my dog (my best friend) because only the love of my life (my wife) could take her place

    Not old

If you are able to take a "selfie" and post it, you're not old! Nice pic! Love the smiles :-) I think weight gain is part of the caregiver's agenda, I know my husband gained while I lost.

    weight gain

I was so pleased when the PA at my doctors office told me not to worry about it right now. Most doctors and PAs do not understand the stress of a caregiver of the terminally ill and how hard it is to eat healthy and exercise at these times. Especially when your loved one doesn't want you away from them more than a few minutes. So it is fast food, sandwiches and snacks and a lot of TV and reading.
