I'm here in hospital now!
I'm finally here. Got in about 8:00 pm. Oncology dept. Even a private room. Wow.
Got my Kindle fire online.
Finally some real care. I've been trying to nurse my disabled sick self for 24 days at home. With the constant help from husband John....when not working and keeping up our home, pets, elderly mom, etc.
I've been so weak and dizzy. From brain lesions, I assume. Had been trying to manage leg pain on my own with ibuprofen....unsure if it was ok. But it worked. Turns out they are continuing it. No worries about that now.
Now i don't have to try to figure things out and keep track. I can rest.
Next the tests to follow. Lung biopsy, bone scan, etc. Little nervous. Take one step at a time..

vicki, i'm SO happy that you finally got a room and bed! now, lie back, relax and let them take good care of you while you give your tired body some much needed rest. try to calm down about the scans altho i know that's hard to do. have they been scheduled yet? if not i'm sure they will be soon. sending you thoughts and prayers for a good outcome and some great rest for you too. keep us posted as we will all be thinking of you.

What a relief! Rest and relax
What a relief! Rest and relax as much as possible. I know that is hard with anxiety over test results. Something that helps me relax and forget my worries is soft music with nature sounds in the background. I close my eyes and imagine I am ther by the stream, in the woods, next to the ocean, etc. It helps to distract those worrisome thoughts. Since I am in a close relationship with Jesus I usually imagine he is relaxing with me:)

Bone scan l later this
Bone scan l later this afternoon. Been injected with dye. Waiting to circulate to bones.
Appears to be nice sunny day here in California. See brightness through window shade and nurse mentioned it.
Doctor said I'm so weak because because I have fair amount of disease. Don't like that. (I asked.)
Been dozing off and on. Too weak for any else.

Bone scan done. Asked to what image looked like. Clearly areas of lower leg and lower back. Didn't look like more places..From what I could see without good vision.
Lung biopsy in morning.
Lots of stomach troubles from meds.
Food great.
Put on pump with new pain meds button . Supposed to be better tolerated than morphine. Hope it helps.
Asked for other stomach meds. Hope to feel better and relax tonight.
John coming soon. Will recharge my phone and kindle so I can stay connected.

vicki, so glad things have started to happen and you can get some answers soon. i hope you are able to sleep tonite to get some much needed rest to help you get strong again. so glad you check in and let us know your status and whats going on. saying prayers for your strength, your body and your mind. try to rest and we'll be waiting to hear something tomorrow.
