"The Whispering One."(Poem read at a Breast Cancer Forum).

Well, you may ask now "What is it?"

And might not know when it comes to visit.

The "Whispering One" won't announce it's arrival

But it could threaten your very survival!

This problem called the "Whispering One"

Does not have a sense of fun,

It comes along with quiet stealth

And begins to attack your life and health.

We need early detection to help survival

There is no true test to announce it's arrival.

The need for a test is vital and pressing

A discovery like this would be a huge blessing!

The "Whispering One"makes detection hard

So we must learn to be on our guard.

The symptoms we must learn by heart

So the "Whispering One"we can try to outsmart.

This message we need to get around

To ensure a test will soon be found.

Then women will know they have won

And need not fear the "Whispering One"!

The Ladies in Pink have led the way

And now I think it's fair to say,

The Ladies in Teal would love to request

ALL ladies combine to get rid of this PEST!!!

When I read this out everyone was very supportive.

    A beautiful poem

Rose, another beautiful and thoughtful poem and an important step towards creating ovca awareness. Post it on Breast Cancer board too, so many more women could read it.

    Love and best wishes,
