Sadly, we've not heard a peep from the chat peeps.  No response to voicemail or email. We set up a conference call with them in hopes someone would dial in. No luck. We will continue to try reaching them.

In the interim, I check chat almost daily and have always been able to get in. I have the standard JAVA download, latest version.

I'm sure I've asked in the past, but to double check...  You aren't trying to access chat via a mobile device and you have the latest version of JAVA, right? The chat application does not support mobile devices of any kind (e.g. iPhone, iPad, smart phones or androids, tablets, etc.  You can only access chat via a laptop or desktop computer.  You must have the latest version of JAVA. If you aren't sure, find out (free) at java.com. If you need to install JAVA or download the latest version, it's free at java.com.

I wonder if you have to have to enable the internet setting to allow pop-ups?  Couldn't hurt to check that out. Do you know how? Click on Tools in the list of navigation/menu items at the top of your screen, directly below your browser window where the URL for whatever website you're on displays. You'll get a dropdown menu that hopefully offers an option called "pop-up blocker." See if it is turned on. If so, try turning it off and then try to access chat. If it still doesn't let you in, you can turn your pop-up blocker back off.

Anyone else have any ideas for Sherry?  Has anyone had a chat access problem they were able to solve on their own?

Thanks,

Greta

I have always been able to finally get in either using your suggestions or something else.  I noticed with the Java update 44 it started asking if I wanted to okay it to run and until yesterday that worked,  Now, the java applet doesn't even start, just a white page and I am running latest java and checked internet options.  Oh well.

thx for reply Greta

I'll ask IT if they can think of anything else that might be getting in the way of the applet loading on your computer. So sorry you can't access chat!
Thanks,
Greta
