Update on parking

It took two months for the them to do it. It is nice to have two spots. We had to call the cops to write a ticket for someone that had parked in it last night. The person was not disabled. The complex now knows that you cant have two disable people fighting for one spot.

    That is pretty quock!
I asked in writing for a disabled parking spot to be put in when I first moved her. After about 6 months they put one in when a man 2 buildings over moved in.
I went back to the office, the gal said we put one in on that side of the complex, really? one spot for about 10 disabled people?. I asked her if I had to file a complaint with ADA? She said they would get righton it. 6 months later, I was walkin from bf-way out there with groceries and one of the maintenence men came by with a cart, He brought my groceries in. Asked why I never requested a spot, showed him the letters I wrote, he was p'od. Left, 5 minutes lated he was cementing a handicapped sign in an open spot directly ouside my door. He actually fined someone who parked there overnight last year. 100. fine.
The office manager did not do a thing. I was thrilled when they mover her out of here 2 months ago.
Glad your apts were quicker! How do you like your new job?

    It was not quick

we moved in july it was two monthes  problem young girl had broke her hip and when her family saw it . It was yea we have one and we will use it you dont need it she has a wheelchair, A cane does not matter. The managers answer was to leave only one spot for two. I had very bad five days after walking to move the car back in the spot. Very servre pain in my feet. And a very pissed off doc . I also had the pleasure of calling the cops to ticket someone was not disabled parking in the spot no plate or placard. Managament sees you walk you can no right it took another two monthes to get this one in.

    Sorry Jerseygirl
I was not being serious, they did not take me seriously either at my apartment complex either, it took over a year here. Only good thing was, I was able to get a close spot part of the time. I have to pay 15. a month for my assigned parking space and it is not close. The spot right in front of my apt is for a lady who ilives by my parking spot. Asked her if she wanted to change, her husband said no bcuz he said I get the handicapped one so why should I have 2 close! lol I would gladly trade places (medically with him if he is so upset over it). His wife is really nice and they have a baby about a year old that she has to carry, just hope she is careful when it gets icy.
Hope it all gets better for you.
