H&N members, caregivers, pop-ins & Lurkers,

 

For the past 13 days (and more if you count scanxiety) I waited through exam and CT scan to await the “all is clear” otherwise known to my friends as NED.  So I am happy to say at 18 months, 24 days and a couple of hours (post) I am NED!

 

I am forever grateful to all who have helped me; this cancer is a b _ _ _ _ with H&N folks providing a silver lining to the information overload physically and mentally.

    13 day wait!

    Glad to hear the good news, but why the long wait between appt.and scan and results?  Celebrate!

    NED is our buddy, our friend, our savior, our RELIEF!!  I'm delighted you got the good report....did you put your dancing shoes on?

    My gawd almighty....why did they drag this out so damn long and make you wait like that?  I'd have been clutching the chandelier for the last 10 days if they did that to me!!  I happen to count the days of scanxiety as part of the waiting process....that would mean a month of sleepness nights, and gut aches if it'd been me.

    I just got the call from the doctor’s office.

    Through pain comes pleasure.

    I had the standard exam (feel, pull & scope) Oct 4th.  ENT wanted a CT, insurance had to approve, schedule the CT, have the CT and shazam CT results today.

    The doctor wanting a CT sent my head spinning.

    matt, what a shame to be kept waiting sooooo long!!  but what a wonderful reason to celebrate and dance around the kitchen!  i hope u do just that!  very happy for u and praying 4 many, many more!

    I keep telling you I am fine (fingers crossed).

    Could I trouble you for some batter dipped and fried fish to go along with the toast?  That is one thing which is good on Matt’s greatest taste list.

    I was thinking, if I go to Phranie’s for a dance and John’s for dinner, you are right on the way and I’ll take that hug in person. If I drive half as fast as you do I can stop by debbiejeanne’s for coffee (if I figure out where she lives?
