A Lot of Happy/Sad Posts of Late

My children and grandchildren have been here from Oh.  I have been reading with great interest/happiness/sadness all of the posts that have been put up the last few days but have not had the time to post myself.  Everyone is off doing their own thing now and I get the privilege to stay home and watch my six year old Autisic grandson.  What a joy and what an amazing brain he has!  Anyway, I did want to take the time to especially thank Sandy and Don for all of the information you gave me about HPV.  I wish I could say that it cleared things up for me, ha!  There is some very heavy reading there.  I will have to read over it again and then again. I had no idea how complex it was.  Thanks again for taking the time to try to educate me and alleviate some of my fears.  You may want to start a new thread with all of that information for those who did not catch it.  It is very worthwhile, I think.

I am going back to OH with one of my daughters to spend the week with my brother.  I hope to convince him to take a couple of short walks with me, so please pray for some good weather.  His last treatment was July 22, so he may not be ready.  So far things have gotten worse for him, just as all of you have said it would.  All I can do, I suppose, is to stay with him so my sister-in-law can feel free to get a much needed break and not worry about getting back home.

God bless all of you. I have been rejoicing with everyone who has posted good news and crying with those who have had some not so good news. It is amazing how close I feel to all of you regulars.  I pray for nothing but the best for each and everyone on this site.

    Thanks for replying, DJ.  I

Thanks for replying, DJ.  I am not expecting anything from my brother.  I will get much more benefit from being there than he will.  I just have a need to be with him for a while, in whatever capacity that may be.  My brother lives in the Cleveland area.  I lived there for over 20 years myself.  We have been back in the Chicago area for 10 years now.  I feel like Chicago and Cleveland are both home!  How old is your grandson?  I wish someone could figure out this whole Autism thing.  It's such a shame.

    Thanks Shawn...

I wish I could have faith at times - Would have helped me earlier in the year I'm sure.

My mother is a "believer" and she said she's been praying. As you know it seems I'm recovering well and I never progressed beyind "pre-cancer" so maybe somebody out there heard her prayers? Who knows.

Anyway, I hope things start looking up for you and your family soon.

I hope you have a great visit!

I hope the weather is nice and your brother is slowly feeling better!  Have a wonderful visit and let us know how he's doing!

I have worked with autistic children and they amaze me.  The knowledge they have is unbelievable.  I hope they can figure out what causes it one day.  When my kids were little you never heard of autism!  Enjoy the time with your grandkids!

I pray for you all every night, too.  I've been a list of verses together so I can choose which one I want for my new tattoo :)  There are so many that have gotten me through this year, it's tough to choose just one.  The one you posted is on my list!

    Faith

is definitely something you work at.  Mine has grown in incredible ways this year.  I always believed in God, prayed, went to church and was saved as a teenager (and baptised), but never truly SAW God work like I have this year.  It took me praying from the heart and not just saying the words, and getting into the Bible and really reading it.  Studying it and doing daily devotionals.

I pray for the CSN family each day.  I know, deep down in my heart, that God is what brought me through all that I've encountered this year.

P.S.  I'm glad you've stuck around the site!  Cousin Gavin :)
