Liver Flutters

Has anyone experienced liver flutters....it's not pain but a flutter as if there is movement within the liver? I just started feeling this today. I have been a lurker for a while now and just want to express how much comfort, care and good information I have recieved on this board. I plan to participate more in the conversations now....thank you all for being here!! I am stage 4 CC diagnosed in Dec 2011 resection surgery in Jan 2012 and mets to liver and lungs.  I am looking into TACE since I'm not a candidate for liver resection has anyone experienced TACE? How are the side effects and how is the recovery? I appreciate all input as it will help me to know what to expect. What a wonderful forum this has been to be able to share and learn from each other.

I think i know what you mean by liver flutters and yes i have had them.....still do.  I had many liver lesions and did not think I could ever be resectioned.....it feels like little quivers in the liver area....outside of your control.  I have no idea what it is.....when i first felt it i thought it was the cancer.......but 5 years after my last resection I still this weird little fluttery feeling....

sorry cannot be more help but yes! I think I have them and I do not know if I have ever seen this topic discussed here......thanks.....

you are doing a great job.....hang in.....sending hugs

    Thank you Maggie

Thank you for responding so quickly.....somehow it is comforting to know someone else is experiencing this....you are absolutely right it's an uncontrollble quiver like feeling. When I rest my hand under my rib over my liver I can slightly feel it to from the outside. I am hoping it is the liver fighting the cancer LOL!!!  So Maggie how did your resection go for you? Did you ever have mets to other areas? Have you been NED since? Sorry for so many questions but I am hungry for knowledge. Hugs back to you!!

    Yes I'm Cindy

That's wonderful news for you...what a blessing! I am not a candidate for liver resection due to mets in my lungs. I am looking into chemoembolization as an option....do you know if there are members on this board who have had that procedure done? I would like to know what to expect what the recovery is like ......from a patient's point of view not the Drs. they tend to minimize the details lol!!
