I know that when all of us were children, we dreamed and thought about what we wanted to be when we grew up. 

From being a cowgirl, to a clown, to a dancer, to a movie star, to a scientist and more.

Would you like to share with us what you wanted to be?

    I wanted to be a movie star, but, somehow, that didn't work out.  lol  Or Cher.  That didn't work out either.

    The tea lady at Luby's

    Yes, when I was 10 and we would go to Luby's, I wanted to wear that cute uniform and push the coffe/tea tray from table to table...

    When I was a child I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up.

    Still don't. Am I supposed to be grown up now??????

    Olympic Rider

    I wanted o be an Olympic/Internation Rider, first in Dressage, then in Jumping and finally in Eventing/3 Day.  Never made it that far but did to National level in 2 of the 3.

    I would play school, all of my dolls and stuffed animals were my students.  My dad got my a small chalkboard with a red frame, loved it!.  Guess what, I grew up and became a teacher. I have been employed as a teacher since 1987. I love my job!

    There was a time when I

    There was a time when I thought it would be cool to be an astronaut. 

    One place where my family lived when I was about 10-11 years old had some great storage area in the garage that was three levels, was enclosed, and ran from one end to the other.  There was cardboard up against the walls inside.  I remember creating my own version of a space capsule, including crayon markings on the cardboard for my instrument panel and a microphone for communication made of some building bricks.

    I even had an occasional astronaut dream at night.

    Later on I changed my mind, which I think was a good thing.  I really do not think I could enjoy being cooped up in such small spaces for days, weeks, or even months.

    I just wanted to be a secretary.  I had one of those cool plastic phones, lots of paper and pens and a little desk where I would sit and run an imaginary office.  My Mother and Dad would play along and come in for appointments.  LOL

    Then, I wanted to be a teacher.  My friends and I would hold school and we'd have so much fun. 

    Later, wanted to be an interior decorator.  My girlfriends and I would cut out pictures in magazines and decorate big pieces of paper and set them up like a home.  Funny...

    My Momma!

    I love my Momma so much that I just adored her when I was little and wanted be just like her.  I still do!!!!!  She is amazing in every way!!!

    Heeheee ! I wanted to be a farmer. I had these boots when I was little that I worn the heck out of, my mom couldnt tear them off me. I wanted a pony so bad .

    A nurse but back in those days you could leave school at 15 which I did.  At the time by mum needed help financially, but I was not sad to leave school.  Of course regretted it later.  I did mostly enjoy several years in The Air Force.

    A cowgirl!  My parents bought my Sister and I the cutest cowgirl outfits, complete with the cowboy hat, cowboy boots and the guns and holster.  We were so cute!  lol 

    Never did become one though.  :(

    Vet but I can not handle blood etc so that was out...

     

    when I retire I would love to be an advocate for special ed & work  with seniors-adult housing. Just to visit them (I go almost daily to see a friend in senior home) some of them have NO one. I make sure to say hi to each one I can.

     

    Then in my spare time I would love to be Disney travel agent!

    I hate to admit this because

    I hate to admit this because it is embarrassing and I caught quite the spanking.  Yes, I wanted to be a nurse, but I didn't go about it the right way.  I found a broken piece of coca cola glass and scratched my friends' arms to "innoculate" them.  Thank goodness noone became ill from my stupidity.  But, boy was I in trouble when irate parents began calling my home. :-(
