    My husband had robotics

My husband had robotics during his esophegectomy.  The robotics were used to free the esophagus prior to removal.  The robotics were capable of making finer incisons so there was less damage.  His surgeon was one of the pioneers of robotics.  I could not believe how quickly my husband recovered and how little pain he had.

    RAMIE

Does anyone know how common this is versus minimum invasive MIE or MIE?

    Update on robot assisted surgery

Wanted to let you know that my husband did have the RAMIE and we could not be more pleased with the results.  John lost less than 100 cc of blood, had very little pain and zero infection.  Three hours after surgery, the nurses on his floor had him standing up and sitting on a chair.
