Sorry to hear that you are not getting the energy you are waiting for. Stress alone can cause iron deficiency and anemia, not too mention going through the kind of treatment you (we) have. No matter how healthy I eat I still need to take a daily iron pill to keep my RB count up. If for some reason I run out and don't pick up for a few days I definately feel more tired, but within a couple days of taking feel back to normal again.
Hi sorry to hear u r so tired. It's your body healing, it takes a lot of energy. For almost one year after tx I could eat and eat and eat and never gain an ounce.
I think you might need to push yourself to do more. Maybe it will knock u down a bit the next day, and then rest and then push yourself again the next day. Just resting is not going to rebuild? This is a process. Please start exercising and pushing yourself.
I would advise against taking any supplements other than a multivitamin unless your doctor advises. How were your blood tests at the end of tx. When are you scheduled for follow up?
Hi there. You are still early in your recovery. It is going to take more time to build up your body. I never took any shots or pills. I would suggest trying to do a little more each day. Getting fresh air helps. This weather is making me tired too! It is still snowing here for the second day! Hopefully, by the time the weather gets nicer, you will feel a little stronger and more energetic. How are your blood counts these days? It takes time. Hang in there!
I think you're both right, I need to do more. I haven't had any blood counts since my last week of treatment but they were fine then. I don't take supplements aside from magnesium, for a deficiency that I've had all my life, vit D to take up the magnesium, potassium and B complex (the latter, when I remember). I seem to always be mineral deficient, not vitamin deficient. Aside from those things I don't take anything. But if I don't start moving, I'm going to sink like a rock.
I would do the reward system to get myself motivated. If I go walk for 20 minutes two spoonfuls of ice cream until I find myself wanting to go for a walk because it feels good.

Thanks eihtak,
Yeah, well, no, I prefer not to take iron unless I'm anemic, not only because if I'm not, I don't need to but also because it tends to constipate.
