I am a 55 year old female who was diagnosed with Stage 2A Hodgkin's Lymphoma in late 1989. I underwent chemo and radiation which caused a very early menopause at 33 years old. I have had episodes of extreme shortness of breath off and on for the past 23 years and now it's getting worse. I have for the past several years had recurrent bouts of pneumonia and acute bronchitis. My doctor tells me I have asthma and will not discuss long term radiation side effects.
Now I just found a lump on my left breast. I'm really scared. Does anyone know if breast cancer can be caused by radiation? I have to get it checked out this week but really don't want to go through the crap of chemo and stuff again.
