To all those who have rectal cancer, do you guys have bleeding in the stool?  Just curious to know. Sometimes, people think that its just a bad case of hemmorhoids.

Did not see the blood nor did I check. But when stool tested, it showed 2.5% blood. The colonoscopy did show the reason for the bleeding (ulcerated tomur).

Hi

I had blood in the stools but mine was a purplish in color. Didn't know it was blood from a tumor until I had a colonoscopy.

Best Regards.

I had lot of problems with bleeding first and second round of folfox. The blood was bright red, which means it came from fishures. I did not worry about this too much. If there is more serious problem with bleeding internally, the stool will be dark. Thats the thing to watch out for.
