Day four

Day four did not start out well for me at all. I woke about 3:00 am with constipation again ( I took 2 senekots before I went to bed) I was nauseaus, and my hands felt like balloons. I had been drinking a lot of water yesterday but hadn't had any water since I went to sleep. Around 6:00 am I finally took the meds the oncologist told me to get for nauseau. (zofran and compatible). I went back to sleep for a while. I felt human again around 10:00. Will the days get better as I go on? Monday , Tuesday, and Wednesday I did fine.

Thanks for any suggestions and/or encouragement.

Pat

    For me...
Days 4-7 were the worst. I got to where I could know almost exactly to the hour how I would feel. You will get to that. Then you just grit your teeth and go through to the other side. I take it that your first treatment was Monday?

    I did 6 rounds of TAC on a 3
I did 6 rounds of TAC on a 3 week cycle. I could count on being in a chemo fog (too many meds) for about 3 days. Then I would have a 'crash' day, whatever side effect was going to pop up would do it on the crash day. Then I would slowly climb out of it, getting a little better each day. I usually felt pretty good by the middle of week 2, and in week 3 was when I scheduled social/volunteer stuff.

Hopefully you will find a rhythm with your treatments, it makes chemo a little more tolerable. Best Wishes.

    Hugs,

    Linda

    Hi Eleanor
Today, day 5 was better than day 4. How did your day go with going to the surgeon and wearing your wig?
    Hugs and prayers
