My Dear Friend Leslie

Dear Leslie- Today is Thanksgiving day and I just got off the phone with ****. I am so heartbroken to hear where you are since we spoke last. Leslie, you are the most generous, kind and loving person I know. As I told ****, I was so hoping the doctors were wrong. Even through my tears, as I type, all I can think of is all the great things you did for me. How much you did for others, watching you gave me hope. You taught me that no matter the odds you have to stay positive. I remember all the fun times we had. Looking for Hawkins, the field of mud, both of us covered from one end to the other and Marliegh trying to keep up with us. The wines we enjoyed together, the times at the store when you climbed on the glass counter. The thrift shop, all your jokes, your wit, your laugh, your stories. I remember it all and I always will. You are the best friend I could have ever asked for. You and **** are two of the most wonderful people I have ever known, and I am a better person for having spent just one minute in your light. God loves you and he will keep you both safe in his arms. I believe God sent you to me to show me truly how good people can be.
