I am not doing anything, but reading. What were you demonstrating for/against austerity? My mom sends her love to everyone. She went to a reflexologist for her neurapothy. It worked. She is not 100 percent, but she feels better.

In this hard days of austerity and against the local Catalan government who are doing a hard campaign against Spain and Spanish language ( they want Catalan like only one official language in cataluña ),they want to do a referendum the get out of Spain and Become an independent country ! ( Similar to the Scottish one). Hugs and best to your mum !

Hello Everyone!
My friend from Utah is finally arriving on Sunday. So I am guessing a week of shopping and good food is in the near future.
Next Friday, I get my 3 month ct scan. I am glad I have good things to keep me busy. So far so good, but we all know that can end quickly. However, I am feeling very positive. I truly have been blessed.
Hope everyone has a weekend that is full of good memories& or dreams.
Hugs,
Judy

I've been sleeping almost constantly since I finished treatment yesterday afternoon. I don't know the last time I was this exhausted. I'm just hanging out the Do Not Disturb sign for the weekend.

G'night all y'all!

well my weekend has not started out good but i am going to make it good! we came to the er at 2am friday when i had a 103 temp. so after 4 hrs in er to get stabilized, i was admitted to the hospital. i have had 4 different antibiotics & 6 huge bags of sodium chloride. my bp has been 66/42 to now it is 88/58. the infectious disease dr thinks my body just crashed & the infection is due to the wbc being 2000. i was going monday for chemo #7 but due to bp & all blood work being screwed up that is not going to happen. but the good news is i had good scan results on monday & i am feeling much better!!! wishing everyone a good weekend!

Dylan made his first trip home from college.
He's doing very well and is enjoying it a lot.
The hope is to spend some time with him,
make a great dinner Sunday, and maybe go apple picking

That sounds like a great weekend, I was wondering where you were. Will you make apple pie?

That was going to be Dylan's "job". He almost went to the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) but 6 months of working in a restaurant and cooking there sort of cured him of that which is fine with us. The hours stink and the pays not great unless you "make it". He makes an incredibly flaky crust and is a really good baker. It's apple pickin' time in the Lower Hudson Valley too but unless he wakes up motivated it will have to wait. He's a Geology Major right now but he's only a Freshman so it's certainly subject to change. He does really love it though so who knows.
The Pot Roast has begun though, I was up at 6am....

In other news, I went for a spin a week ago last Thursday...
I Hydro-planed on the NY Thruway. I was only going about 50 (at the most) because it was raining. I had good tires all around but the car lifted and spun into the guardrail in a blink of an eye. I did a 360, managed to avoid other cars and they avoided me. Hit the front & rear, bumpers flew off, headlights flew off, I wound up facing the right direction in the shoulder of the fast lane with the car still running. I calmly got out of my car and picked the big pieces out of the way of traffic, removed my license plate from one bumper, inspected the car to see if it could be driven (it could) then got back in and drove home. People were very nice, one guy asked if I needed help and one lady offered me her umbrella. I've felt hydro-planing before but it has always been a slow drift. Oddly I was unscathed, not even a sore shoulder from my seatbelt.
The car's totaled but luckily I'm not.

I found a nice 2006 Subaru Forester that was well-maintained with good mileage at a good price so I should get that Monday...
Like I often say, you never know what will happen. I guess I'm either not ready to "go" or not finished being tortured!

Wow, I'm glad your okay, I know thats scary. Here in Fl, Sarasota Fl, there was a 42 car pile up due to careless driving in the rain. If you google it I'm sure it will come up. I have hydro planned myself and was fortunate that no one was behind me. Theres nothing you can do but hold on. And yes your not ready to go.

And for a change, we had some nice weather in the Northeast today. It's been gray and rainy for too long!

Enjoy apple picking!

Thanks, Pepe. For me, it's just a matter of getting through the weekend, what with surgery on Tuesday. I'm in my neurotic survival mode.

But I'll get through...

Mom, sister, and brother in law left this morning. Had a busy week for them. Brother in law cooked good food, sister waited on me hand and foot and 82 year old mom just looked pretty, lol. Got spoiled for a week. Now husband has to pick back up and do the spoiling. Going to be lazy rest of weekend. Hopefully feel better soon, chemo week off next week. Hopefully get some energy back.
