To help survivors adjust to life after treatment, Stanford University offers a free online workshop called "Cancer: Thriving and Surviving." The American Cancer Society is doing a 1-year study to see how well cancer survivors respond to it, and we need your help. Workshops are led by 2 cancer survivors who have been specially trained. You will connect with about 24 other post-treatment survivors to share your experience during the 6-week workshop. It's done entirely online – you choose the days and times that are most convenient for you. You'll log on at least twice a week for a total of 2-3 hours each week. You'll learn ways to make your life less stressful and more rewarding, such as how to manage fatigue, difficult emotions and effects of cancer treatment. To see if you're eligible for the study, you'll need to answer a few questions. Then you'll read a consent form and complete a brief survey. In a few weeks, you will be randomly assigned to a workshop that is either coming up soon or one that starts in about 12 months. Having these two groups will help us determine whether this workshop really helps cancer survivors. You will complete 3 online surveys – one when you agree to participate in the study, one 6 months later, and one 12 months later. Pre-registration is required and enrollment is limited.
