Surgery Tomorrow

in Lymphoma (Hodgkin and Non-Hodgkin) #1
Hi All

I just received a call from the nurse. She said that I am wait listed in for surgery tomorrow. They will call later with the actual time.

Okay, I am now Terrified! Oh myGod, this is really going to happen.
I want to run away, far away.
I am so scared.
I don't know if I can do this.
I'll post again in a little while.

    I know you are scared. It all came up so fast. I know I would be scared s#!tless.Then again they are working quickly so thats to your advantage. We are all here for you,but of course you already know that. John

    Honey I know you're terrified...it's ok. Take a deep breath...exhale. deep breath...exhale. You can do tbis. We are here with you. Grab your hubby, go out to eat...eat something. Watch a silly movie. Relax in a nice bubble bath. Listen to some soft jazz. Dance like a fool. You are about to get rid of pain and discomfort. Let people wait on you hand and foot. WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER!!! We are here. We love you and support you completely.

    Wow...that WAS fast, but I'd rather you get this done sooner than later. Easy for me to say, I know, but I just want you to be rid of the pain and start the healing process!!! You CAN do this, and I know in my heart that everything is going to work out just fine. I'm keepin the faith and ONLY thinking positive thoughts! Sorry I didn't post sooner, but today was "Lizzy" day, so my whole day consists of chasing her around...no computer time! Anyways...please try to relax a bit and get your nerves calmed...small glass of wine?...cup of tea?...some chocolate..(always makes me happy)! If you need to vent or talk I'll keep checking the site tonight and be here for you. :)
