Just got home from the annual walk/run that's held each year at a beautiful park in my hometown outside of Syracuse, NY. I'm glad to say it gets bigger each year. This time we had 150 more racers than last year and the villagers along the route have hoses out and cheered on the groups as they passed by. No, I didn't run, but I took lots of pictures and cheered on my family and friends as they came to the finish line. My entire ONC,s office turns out to race including my Dr.

Last year I had shirts made up for all of my family with a 5 on the back to celebate hitting my 5 year anniversary since diagnosis. This year I wore a sign over that 5 that read: 6 years and counting
THANK YOU DR. BUNN & STAFF
being there... priceless
I put a photo of my three granddaughters underneath that I took while we had a picnic a couple of days ago.

I hope everyone is having a good 4th of July. I go back to chemo next week after a month long, much needed chemo break. (((((HUGS))))) Maria

What an awesome way to spend the 4th of July! Thank you for sharing the events with us. I wish I could have been there to cheer on the walkers and runners. What a terrific way for your oncologist and staff to show their support for patients and survivors and their families.

Six years is a huge milestone and I hope to follow in your footsteps. I'm sure you enjoyed and appreciated your month off from chemo and my thoughts are with you as you prepare to go back to chemo next week.

Hugs,
Kelly
