I am trying to help Barefoot Bob figure out what the TxNxMx means in the staging of our tumors. I seem to remember someone had posted an explanation on here at one time (ratface, skiffin ?).

I cannot remember myself and don't want to give bob the wrong info.

    I think...
    Hi Ingrid, if im not mistaken i think the mean,
    T= Tumor, 1,2,3 or 4
    N= Nodes involved
    M= Metastis (if the C has spread to the body)

    I was T2N0M0 stage 2 Tonsil cancer with no nodes or distant spread.

    If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me but thats pretty much it

    God bless
    Tonsil dad,
    Dan.

    Do like the idea of A representing attitude. Many of us believe attitude is very important in the whole treatment and how it plays out:

    AP- Attitude Positive
    NA- Negative Attitude (AKA, rotsa ruck)

    Attitude
    Attitude is huge....along with maintaining a sense of humor....(if you have one..."Kent"), LOL. just teasing my man Kent.

    But a positive attitude, and maintaining a sense of humor is huge.

    Forget any humility, that's out the door right after you azz hanging out the back of the many open gowns you have to endure while being poked, prodded and probed.
