How to protect neck disection scar during radiation

I did not even start radiation, just had the dry run with mask and my neck disection scar isd already seems a bit row. I think it is caused by touch or mask plastic over it. Is there a way to protect it during radiation? Maybe put a gauze or something?

Thanks,
Sam

    Communication...
Get with your techs, and Rads MD...they can figure out a solution to your problem... whatever you are going through, more than likely you aren't the fist.

    protect neck in mask
I had them put a piece of gauze over the wound site before the mask. It helped some. Sometimes I used nothing, but I always felt that it rubbed on the mask. THe gauze should help a lot.
