Replacing original post. I haven't posted here in well over a year, but I still think about my mom every day. I know she's in a better place and she's found peace. I hope everyone here is doing well!

    Wow, I didn't even realize my Aunt already updated you all. Sorry to bring it up again. She is really missed though, I miss her every day. I think it is so amazing that she had so many friends on here. Thank you all for being there for her. <3

    I think there was more than one, and many candles lit out of love for your Mom.

    Your Mom...
    Was very loved by the women on this board who " knew" her...and an inspiration to all....it broke our hearts when we learned she lost her battle....may you find some small comfort in knowing this....

    So glad you posted!
    Yes, your aunt did let us know. It's so wonderful to see you, her daughter and the special bond you had. What a beautiful thing to blog your thoughts of her. She was such an amazing lady. She always was so positive, even when things got worse.

    I'm sure you carry you Mom in your heart where she lives on. God bless you.

    Thanks Melissa for posting. Yes, we did know that your precious Mother, our pink sister, passed away and we all lit candles for her and said prayers. Her passing left a deep hole in all of our hearts.

    Good luck with the blog. I hope to be reading it and good luck with the relay. It is a great way to honor your Mother, our Laurissa.

    Dear Melissa,
    Thank you for being so brave and posting here. We all loved your Mom and she was a great help to many of us. I know it's hard for you, but I'm sure you are a little relieved that she isn't suffering anymore.

    One thing I remember about Laurissa is her telling us about driving the bus on those hot days.

    You are a beautiful young woman, and I can see a resemblance between you and your Mom.

    I can't tell you how many times your mom gave me the inspiration to keep going on through some pretty tough times. Her strength, courage and attitude were amazing. I think of her often and will always keep her in my prayers.

    I know you must miss your mom terribly, but I also know you must have some beautiful memories of a beautiful human being.

    Thank you so much for posting. As this saddens me and tears roll as I type, Your Mom was very well loved by so many, what a blessing she was to me as well. We kind of traveled through the same treatments together as we had the same kind of BC and mets. I know she's in heaven looking down on her beautiful family and smiling. What a great thing to do, blog, I should have done that (I lost my Mom to cancer 4 years ago). All my best to you and your family and bless your heart for making a team in your Moms honor, I'll visit your page.
