Has anyone had a bolus used during their radiation treatment? I have read a lot of past posts and haven't seen it mentioned. The techs explanation wasn't very clear so will ask the doc next week but just thought someone here may be familiar with it? I started chemo and radiation yesterday and so far all is well!!

The term bolus is apparently used when referring to both chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

Check out these two websites for more information.

I'm glad to hear that things are going well for you so far!

Am I the only one that the bolus is being used for my treatment?

Saw your post but didn't answer because I never heard of 'bolus'. I looked it up though - still not quite sure what it is...we've all had a few differences in treatment, maybe this is just another thing for us to learn about?
