I'm a NEW Grandfather !!!!

I have a new Grandson! His name is, Lucas Maxwell Villanueva (pronounced: Villa-new-eva), born yesterday at 8:52pm CST, 7lbs.14oz. and 19 1/2 inch. My daughter,Jennifer, has been in a slow labor for a week or two waiting for "peanut" to come. She had been having sporadic contractions on and off for awhile, mostly at night. Her water broke last night around 8pm(Central Standard Time) and she delivered in about an hour.

This is her second child, the first one is a girl; Hannah Olivia Walker, who will be 14 in July. For her current husband,John, this is his first child. He is a Captain in the Marine Corps and they are stationed in Pensacola,FL. right now. So it will be awhile before we can visit them, it's a long drive from N.C.

My wife and I are so happy & excited right now and I wanted to share my great news with all my "Pink" sisters & brothers here.

    Congrats, grandkids are the best, you can send them home when you get crabby, LOL, usually that is. Are there others or just these 2? I am over the moon for my 2.

    Hope you get to see him sooner than anticipated,

    Robert, congratulations on the birth of your newest grandchild. My son is 21 and my daughter is 19 - both in college. I am still at the point in life where I am telling them that I would NOT be pleased in being a grandma just yet ;-). Hopefully you will be able to see Lucas and Hannah sooner rather than later. Oh the Circle of Life.

    So happy for you, grandpa! Grands are God's blessing for raising their parents...lol. We have 4...13, 12, 9 and wild thing is 3! Two girls, two boys...they are the light of our lives....and from NC, Florida isn't a bad drive...didn't know you were in NC...me too! Central part of the state....And our daughter is a Jennifer.....

    Congratulations to the entire family. What a great blessing he is bringing to your life. I'm in SC (upstate) and gratefully my grands are not more than 1 hour away. You'll just have to stay longer and spoil them more when you visit!!

    Love hearing good news, and it doesn't get any better than an new baby! Glad both are healthy, how fun for your 14 year old grand daughter, at that age she can really be a part of it.
