Laurissa Passed away Saturday at 4:53pm.with friends and family close by.She struggled hard the last few hours of life, but now a can take comfort in knowing my sweet angel Connie Jean is on a new journey with her Lord and Savior. I'm sure He has prepaired a welcome home party for her, with family and all who went before her,angels singing and all the animals and birds she loved to feed and care for are there also....I can't wait to see her again.But for now I have peace in knowing she is happy and pain free and with THE ONE who loves her most, Jesus... Spring in its self is a time of rebirth and renewal and Easter will be here.... and what a celebration that will be in Heaven. So it looks like my sweet Connie Jean (Laurissa) has made it HOME in time...Good bye my sweet sweet Angel. I love you and will hold you in my heart untill I to shall be welcomed home...Love ,Kathy Thank you all, her wonderful Pink sisters for helping her and being so kind and the prayers you sent forth, just being there for her meant so much,I will continue to pray for you all in the Pink sisterhood...and hope one day soon this ugly breast (cancer)is laid to rest.

    Tears in my eyes.I am glad she went quick but very upset she was in so much pain towards the end.Not fair.That is the time you beg they go.I remember a lady begging to die toward the end.Her family wanted the same.Laurissa will be missed by all of us.I didn't get to know her that well but I am hurt at her passing.Better go.Hard to see now.

    I am so sorry to hear that Laurissa/Connie Jean has passed away. I am glad that she has gone to a place where she will no longer have to fight illness - no longer be in pain. You were a wonderful sister to her. May you continue to have peace in your life.

    I'm so sorry for your loss and yes, she is now with the angels.
    I can't tell you how much it has meant that you have kept us posted through this.
    I'm sad but I know it is for the best that she is at peace.

    I am very sorry for your loss. Connie Jean was an exceptional sister to us, very positive and kind. We joined this board at the same time in 2009, while I was already Chemo and radiation graduate. Having our journeys together has helped us comfort each other. She always were thinking of her family, daughters and friends. I am sure she will continue to watch over her family and pinks.
    Thank you for coming today. She is not suffering and at peace.

    My uncle, who is 80 also passed on Saturday from stomach cancer.
    It has been a difficult morning for me.

    Goodbye Laurissa
    Laurissa is now an angel in Heaven and finally free of pain and treatments. We loved her and she will always hold a place in our hearts.

    Thank you Kathy for all you did for her and for always keeping us updated.

    Oh how my heart breaks for all of you....but thankful Connie Jean's struggle is over and that God welcomed her with open arms...

    Hopefully, knowing how many care will be of some small comfort at this sad time....I pray that God gives you all strength...

    I will always remember Laurissa, we joined the same time
    and went thru chemo the same time. When I was too sick to post I always looked forward to reading Laurissa's posts, they made me feel better. She was my role model of sorts. While I find it too emotionally difficult to post anymore I keep up with everyone and am so saddened Laurissa has lost her fight. But I feel she is watching over all of her pink sisters from a way better place. My heart goes out to her friends and family.

    Our sweet laurissa fought hard and well. My condolences to you and your family. She was alwasy so kind and just plain sweet. This is so sad.I am glad she isnt suffering anymore.
