UPDATE TO RECENT SCOPE AND EXAM SUCCESS

Hello all, as I stated in my previous post I had an upcoming neck and chest CT with contrast on the 26th. I got the results and they have found some "Groung Glass" like nodules just like I had with a CT last June. My last CT was in December and nothing was seen in my lung. Of course I am a little nervous, but since I have been through this on a previous occasion, I am more at peace. The inflamation would make sense as I know I have aspirated twice and the second one was fairly recent.

Time to go see the Thoracic Surgeon again.

Wish me luck.

Thanks for all of your support since I joined.

Mike

eliminate the scan from the 26th
measure the difference in size/appearance from the two remaining scans if possible. I have lung nodules as well as thyroid nodules. This kind of stuff keeps me up at night. Always get copies of your scans and read them. You will learn that no two radiologist read anything the same nor do they note the same anomalies. At this point you just don't have enough information in any direction. Thoracic surgeon is routine follow-up for this situation. I cannot speak to the aspiration and it's relation to scan results. Perhaps someone with aspiration experience will come along? Hold your ground!

    PREVIOUS SCANS
I should have been a little more specific Rat. The Chest CT from June where they found the same "ground glass" type spot then was in my upper left lobe. That is what was gone in the F/U scan in December as well as nothing found anywhere in my lung. It was this time they spotted a simillar type spot on the lower middle part of my right lobe. The Radioologist read was "ground Glass" in appearance indicating possible scar tissue/inflamation. No Metastatic Disease noted.

    Thanks fo the reply.

    "No Metastic Disease noted"
Is a big deal in my book and sounds like it may be something to hang your hat on for a little while.

.......with Rat. But still wishing you the best. And you know where I'm at (and actually it's the building over your right shoulder in your pic).

Nothin' but the best thoughts headed your way Mike!

    Hi Mike

Not only luck but will also keep you in prayer my friend. Remember all the PET scans I failed because of inflammation that the doctors thought was a recurring of my NPC.
