Vactions: anyone have up coming plans to get away?

I know what you mean
I know what you mean.I need a break.Now to take the time to do it.Not sure.I know recently our son and his wife moved out of our camper.We are talking about buying a lot and putting it there.Then get away on weekends.We have many lakes within 2 hours of where we live.That is a idea.
Then not far from where I live a lady I know wants us to get a lot where she and her husband are.She has a home not far but she stays at the campground to get away from the city.
My bigger goal is Fla.I want to see my aunt before she passes.My friend is on to me about that. My cousin passed away a sudden death when he was 50.I know it was very very hard for my aunt and uncle.He was their life.She just keeps in touch with her nieces and nephews and we keep in touch with her.Mainly I tell her to be careful.She falls alot but finally told me a couple months ago she has a Medic Alert.
We will do something.We have some time.My husband SAID he is retiring in Dec.Good time to go to FLA.

Short trip
My husband and I are going to a blue grass festival in NC in a few weeks. We don't have a set time of year to vacation, but find that time is valuable and precious so we take mini trips when possible. My sister are planning to go fishing Friday!! Love to all, Barbara0 -
Have had a break.....
Next week, going back to America to pick up where I left off with my 'new' house (inherited from my mom). I need to fix the kitchen, redo the bathrooms, paint inside, new flooring...WHEW!
My goal is to finish by end of June....wish me luck!

After just being re-diagnosed as Stage 4 with bone mets, my hubby and are have decided to visit Kauai again for 2 weeks in April. It is definitely my "Happy Place". Looking forward to the beautiful beach, fresh seafood every night and drinks with umbrellas in them!

Sonny boy
Sonny boy is comming from Virginia in late June over the 4th of July. I will take a week off then. We will head up north about an hour and a half away for rustic camping. We have done this for several years with all the grandkids but had to take off the last several years.0 -

we have camped with 4 generations...now only 3 left..we camp in UPPER NYS mountains @ ye same place I camped with my parents. GOOD MEMORIES>>>

we have 2 coming up.
one the end of may, we will be going down to VA for a high school graduation. then staying 2 or 3 days a VA beach.
then in augusta we are going to Disney world with a group of friends( they are paying
i am doing the planning, they have never been so we will be showing them around, when they made the plans they told me all I had to pay for was food, then we got free dinning woohooo) 0 -

Denise -- I have plans to do something special for myself after a good test result. Recently I had my MRI and it was clean, ALLELUIA! So I am planning a trip to Spain to visit family. Making a stop in Barcelona, for my first time. I deserve this vacation so I'm taking it.
I hope you treat yourself to something very pleasant as well. And enjoy every minute God gives you.

Hey Denise..... Every year I have a "girls" weekend with two of my closet friends...we go to New York ...last year I couldnt make it because I was going through chemo but this year we have it all plan for June 14...I'm sooo excited I can't wait....we are going to celebrate health, friendship, love and hair...lol...

Need a break from our cold,
Need a break from our cold, snowy winter in Alaska... going to Vegas but cant go til June due to last kid graduating in May! It will be super hot there in June but my hot flashes are getting me prepared! Going for my first six month mammo tomorrow so hope all goes well temps in high 40s finally this week ......0 -

would love to tour Alaska some time...I hear nice cruise vacations head your way. JUNE trip sounds great. We had reservations last year for Vegas but gave whole trip to cousin-decieded to not go..she only had to pay her airfare.

Eva: sounds great...I am from NY could be in my neck of the woods...and not even know it..(I am near Poughkeepsie, NY)
I have reconnected with 3 friends from Kindergarten thru graduation-we go out once a month..best thing ever...we all lived within 10 miles and never knew it..
JUNE will be here soon...I am going to Disney with whole family JUNE 23 (our 27th anniversary, daughters college graduation and my 4 yr anniversary of radition completed)

I plan all our trips ONE year in advance...last year had to cancel one weekend trip (hystertomy) but went camping 10 days later...sore and achey...but only weekend..

We were going to go on a cruise in July, but with the recurrence to my heart & pleural space my Dr said no way right now. So we live around the corner from the lake and we will take our travel trailer out there for memorial day and July 4. My parents and a few friends will also take theirs out so we will have a big group of people and just have tons of fun.
