My latest CT results

Hi everyone, wasn't supposed to have CT scan for another month, but last week have been having terrible pains in stomach & last nite went to my back. I decided to go to the ER today and my doctor ordered a CT scan. I didn't really want it done because I have only been on this new regimen since January & finished Cycle 2 but he said it needed to be one. Good news was I didn't have a bowel obstruction.....bad news the cancer is still spreading. Apparently the Hexalen which is only for ovarian cancer isn't what it is cracked up to be. May be it would have worked better when I told my last oncologist about it in 2011 when tumors were smaller, but since they've gotten larger I guess it's harder to kill. I don't know what I'm going to be on next, but I guess I'm getting to the point of maybe saying "no more". I don't know, guess I'm just feeling a little down, as these tumors have continued growing since the Fall of 2011. Anyway just wanted to update you & let you know how I'm doing. Take care.

you have to fight to stay alive no one wants to see you go. I am so sorry that the cancer is still spreading I will lift you up in my prayers today that God will touch you. Please try to stay on the possitive side I know that is hard to do but you mean a lot to the women on this site and we would hate to see you go. Please keep us updated on this issue.

Maybe it just wasnt the right drug for this ...
Dont you dare give up! Just get a new game plan. It is a tough road but sometimes things work and sometimes they dont. We just have to keep trying. I pray that you get good answers this coming week and a drug that works better. I am also praying for strength and comfort for you. Hugs!

    Don't lose hope...
    Hi!

I am new here but I am deeply touched by all the stories that I have read. 3 members of my family has been diagnosed by cancer from the past (including my mother) and I know how scary this is. When I was a child it gave me fear that I have never known in my entire life.

Please don't give up and don't lose hope, please don't stop living. My prayers are with you, be strong and keep on fighting.

    Keeping trying
As long as there are things in your life that make you smile and you look forward to then keep on fighting and trying new things. You must do what is right for you, you and only you will no when you have had enough.
I hope you and your team are able to come up with something different for you to try. Have you considered a clinical trial? There are lots of different ones out there. Maybe that is where you will find some answers.
    Hang onto hope.

I've been chemoing for the past 26 months
for my recurrance. I been on several different types of chemo and usually I was usually
on one for four doses before it would determined whether or not it was working. I, also, was given 6 months from the time of the recurrance before my chemo regiment started. I've read that waiting is found not to affect the outcome of the chemotherapy. Yeah, for no bowel obstruction! I can feel your discouragement and it's your body and your decision, but I can tell you that the chemo has reduced my tumors, lowered my numbers and although they are not in the normal range, I'm staying stable. I'm not saying it's easy having seemingly endless chemos, but I'm here, enjoying life to the fullest whenever I can.

    Don't dispair
Easier said than done, I know. It is SO easy to get discouraged. But you have to just trust the medical profession, ask for help for depression (I did), and come to this board for encouragement. Keep on truckin'!

    Cheers, Jo

    I so understand
what Cafewoman53 is saying you can't think straight when you are in so much pain. I am in Paliatie care right now a step above what you are in and my nurse said several times this is not because you are dieing. So please don't give up hope they are their to help until you are ready to go at least that is how I am looking at it.
