My husband passed away on Thanksgiving night with his family and loved ones by his side. He had gotten fluid build up in his lungs in Sept and had a pluredisis in Oct. the fluid was malignant. He had over 6.5 litres drained off in the course of 2 weeks.
We had went to the have his maintence chemo Alitma, when I had asked for an MRI of his brain as he was not able to speak plainly and was doing some odd things. He was also very weak and was not able to walk without aid of some sort. The MRI showed that he had a massive tumor and that the swelling had crossed the blood brain barrier and that there was no hope for him. We went back home that day, the 14th of November, we kept him as comfortable as we could. We were able to give him morphine shots as his pain got worse, by that Monday he was not abole to get out of bed, he also took his last bite to eat which was a few bites of pudding. He quit drinking water on Wednesday morning and was no longer responsive Thursday morning, he opened his eyes and looked at me as he took his last few breaths. He fought hard this battle of cancer, and although our journey was never easy and he never caught a break, my man never complained. He was a warrior.
Ralph was a wonderful, kind man and I hate cancer for taking my husband, my kids' father and my grandkids' grandpa away from us. His hope was that maybe there would be a cure, if not for him then for the future cancer patients.
Please say prayers for my family and me as we grieve for the wonderful man that has left this life for Gods kingdom.

Sorry for your loss. I also recently lost my husband (Nov.6th 2011). Like your husband, Jeff fought hard and never complained about much of anything during treatment. I pray for you and your family.

I hope that with time the good memories grow and the painful one subside.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your husband truly sounds like a warrior and a wonderful man. We have lost a number of wonderful people (including your husband) on this site this year. I as if my condolences are inadequate. I wish I could say something to take your pain away, but I am at a loss.

God bless and you will be in my prayers.
