    You're ok here.
Nothing wrong at all with you posting here! Please don't apologize for anything. Although, that is a good idea, maybe another caregiver may be helpful for you.

I hope you are able to get some rest tonight.

    You are welcome here
This site is specific to Head and Neck, you might get more specific information here about the cancer and what your husband is going through. The caregiver site is also helpful, caregiver issues are discussed. Also hope that you can get some rest, you need to stay healthy. My mother had a friend that 'graduated' from hospice twice, her issue was not cancer but her heart.

    Friend
It was my mom's friend (a good family friend from their high school days). She had heart problems, I think a pacemaker and then later a defib. She went past her expiration date on the of the gadjets. My mom on the other hand was very healty and then suddenly had an obstruction that ennded up being Burkitt's Lymphoma, she passed within 6 weeks of dx. She was amazingly strong when she found out (we didn't let her know while she was recovering from surgery--10 inch incision on her tummy). She never shed a tear, just said a naughty word and said she wanted it to be fast and painless, it was.

    No Apologies Needed
    Sue,
Of COURSE this is a good place to post. Depending on your topic/question you might want to post the same issue both here AND with Caregivers.

    Slap Your Bottom....
You have every right to be here...you are very much a part of this as all caregivers are...

Caregivers are the backbone of our (survivors) existance.

Without you it makes it much harder for us, you are why we fight so hard to survive.

    Best,
    John

    Ditto
Except for the 'slap your bottom' part, I agree with Skiffin. Caregivers are our VIP's.

This is my primary board and I am a caregiver
Sue, don't ever think you are not suppose to post here. I have looked at the caregiver board three times, posted once with no responses. I have found that a large majority of caregivers are on this board. I would not have survived my husbands treatment without the people on this board. So as John put so sweetly, smack your rear and keep on posting.

Oraying for you both and also praying God sends you some help so you can get some rest.

Yes I am the caregiver to my husband who has supragottic cancer of the throat, He has had it for 1 year been fighting it every step of the way! Has done every thing the doctors told him to do. Has so many set backs! Been in and out of the er. That is where he is at this very moment. The doctors say " Nothing more can be done" That he better get in touch with Hospice. He said today that he does not what that. That means that he is giving up and he does not want to give up, he IS a fighter! So the doctor said that he can go home tomorrow. That is what he wants. Going to hand it over to God and let HIM take over from here on out. I just hope and pray he does not suffer! I guess this is where FAITH comes in. Got down on my knees this morning and prayed for him, and asked God to help me to keep strong for him! Just have to have Faith! Sue
