The first is has anybody heard about ginger root and how it makes ovarian cancer cells commit suicide? I googled that, but don't know how to cook with it. Also, does anybody else have a runny nose all the time? Just curious thanks. I can't sleep and was just thinking about this stuff.v I have a lot on my mind and font know who to turn to. Let's just say more on my mind than ginger root and snotty noses, but I guesss it's a start

    runny nose
Don't know about ginger root, but I do have that constant runny nose. I'm sorry to hear that you're having troubles with an anxious mind while trying to sleep. I listen to audiobooks on my MP3 player when I turn out the lights. I can't listen to the story and worry at the same time. I then just go back to the parts I missed the next day. I download them free from my library

    I don't know about ginger
I don't know about ginger root, but I also know about the runny nose. It's worse in the mornings...Hope your mind will allow you to rest soon.

    i never heard about the
i never heard about the gingeroot but i can tell you my nose drips constantly...it's not listed in the side effects of chemo but the nurse told me several people complain about it. the doctor oz show a few months back listed three foods that prevent ovarian cancer....one was a fish that i can't remember since i dont eat seafood (unfortunately). ... but the one i do remember was endive....eating it three times a week or more is supposed to lessen your chance of getting ovarian cancer by 75%!

I had a runny nose too!
I was told the runny nose is due to loss of nose hair. Apparently, nose hair does have a purpose! The chemo nurse told me and those ladies know everything about chemo and side effects! Don't know about ginger root.

    Runny nose
my nose runs alot don't know of anything to stop it, but maybe some over the counter benadryl taken at bedtime may make you sleepy enough to fall asleep. I am the same way my head hits the pillow and my mind jumps into high gear .

    Bald Nose
    Mary,

I also had a runny nose, right about the time my body hair went the way of my head hair. It was due to the the lack of nose hair, because it resolved when my hair grew back.

    Ativan
Ativan was the only way I could sleep during active treatments. I still use it when my anxiety level rises.
